Our Instructors &
Staff Members
Our Instructors have spent many years devoted to training in the art of Tae
kwon do and other martial arts and have attained a certain level of expertise
to qualify them as teachers and also mentors.
Through extensive testing, certification and tournament
level competition, our staff has attained mastery in this martial art and now
enjoy sharing their skill and passing it on to their students. Here are a few of
Shin's Tae Kwon Do instructors and other staff

Master
instructor of & director of the United Tae Kwon Do Chung Do Kwan
Association. Grandmaster Shin is one of the highest ranking Black Belts in the
United States today (9th Degree). He has been inducted into the Black Belt Hall
of Fame & instructor to many international & national champions.
Grandmaster Shin trained under & received his ranking from Tae
Kwon Do Chung Do Kwan style's founder, Grandmaster Won Kook Lee.
In 1962, Grandmaster Shin emigrated to the United States from Korea
where he established one of America's first formal Tae Kwon Do schools
& began the process of building, what is today referred to as the
"Home School" & Headquarters to the Association, right here on Long
Island. His Black Belts have set up schools all over the world form here
in New York to Arizona, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Chicago & even such
places in the Caribbean as St. Martten, St Kitts & Anguila. Making
this Association one of the largest & most respected Martial Arts
organizations in the country.

I started my
training at the age of 13 under the direct tutelage of Grandmaster
Shin, in the "Home School" in Floral Park, NY and
continue currently in the United Chung Do Kwan Tae Kwon Do Assoc.
I have also trained in many other disciplines such as
Tang So Do, Hapkido, and trained in the Israeli Special Forces Street
defense "Krav Maga". Affluent in many weapons and currently belted in the
Korean sword art of Haidong Gumdo. I am a certified instructor through
the prestigious Black Belt Schools International, fitness Instructor plus
the official presenter on Long Island of the "Steal Proof Masters Child
Abduction Program". I have been nationally
ranked in NASKA (North American Sport Karate Association) and placed in
many national AAA rated tournaments up & down the East coast over the
years, such as the Empire State Nationals, Ocean
State Karate Nationals, Battle Of Atlanta and TKD World Championship in
Madison Square Garden to name a few.
I hold the rank of Eagle Scout the highest honor in the
Boy Scouts Of America. Though Tae Kwon Do is not a sport to me, it is a way of life. The
decision to participate in the Martial Arts is a life altering one. It
will change you physically and mentally. Through my training I have
learned to overcome challenges and experience victories, giving me the
confidence and indomitable spirit to strive to be my BEST!
I now enjoy teaching and passing on the knowledge, traditions and positive
attitude of the Martial Arts to Children, Teens and Adults of all ages and
physical abilities. |
